A Journey of Infinite Distance

"The Word became Flesh" is what John wrote. That was a journey of infinite distance. We will explore what Jesus left and what He took on in becoming flesh. Then we will ask Why? Why would He do something so dramatic?

2 Corinthians 8:9   For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Galatians 3:13   Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),

Matthew 1:21   And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Romans 5:8   But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20b   … the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Ephesians 3:17-19   that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
