Ministry Programs

Congregational Outreach Ministries

Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church has a strong commitment to ministry within our own congregation. Whether it be leading a Bible study, Sunday School teaching, or music, our members understand the need to first build up the kingdom of God through the development of caring disciples. In addition to gathering together for the purpose of study and enrichment, we also fellowship regularly while sharing meals, concerts, special programs, golf outings, and camping weekends.

Adults

We as believers should always be striving to strengthen our own relationship with God. This process often comes through fellowship and study with others. At Crossroads we have several established ministries to address the need for spiritual growth of our members.

Pastor Todd Jaussen leads an in‑depth, while informal, Bible study on Sunday evenings in the Fellowship Hall.

Several small groups meet at the church or in different members' homes on a regular basis for the purpose of fellowship and Bible study. To learn more about this group contact the church office for information.

A Ladies Bible Study is also held on Wednesday mornings.

A Grief Support Group has been started for those who have lost a loved one.

A Men's Ministry plans special events such as a camping retreat, movies, sports to offer peer support for issues men face.

A Senior Saints Ministry meets each month for lunch or an outing.

In addition to ministries geared for fellowship and building of the kingdom, we also have several ministries designed to reach out to members and visitors.

The Bakers and Takers cheerfully make and deliver cookies to the homes of first time visitors to our Sunday morning worship service. They always welcome the visitors and invite them back.

The Welcome Ministry is a team of greeters who are always ready with a cheerful smile, a warm hug, and a hearty handshake to welcome one and all who enter the doors of Crossroads.

A visitation program is in place to keep in contact with visitors and help them get to know us.

Music

Music is an essential part of the life of a Christian. Music can cause us to worship, it can give us hope, and it can teach us about our faith. We are blessed to have several groups that lead us in worship through music.

The Joyful Sound Choir under the direction of Debbie Weese presents choir arrangments for the Christmas and Easter cantatas as well as for during the Sunday morning worship service once a month throughout the year. Regular choir practice is scheduled weekly for Thursdays. New voices are always welcome.

The Praise and Worship Team leads the congregation in praise music at the start of every Sunday morning worship service. The group is a combination of both vocal and instrumental accompaniment. This group has also begun taking part in praise services at other local churches. The team currently practices weekly on Thursdays.

Besides having regular special music performances during the Sunday morning offering, we are also blessed to be able to host and enjoy many special events centered around music. These range from concerts by local gospel groups to congregational hymn sings.

Children

The future of any church is its children. Any time, money, and energy spent on children's ministries is an investment which will mature with time. Jesus loved the little children. He said, "Let the little children come unto Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:14)

The Junior Church children's program runs during the Sunday morning worship service sermon time. This program is specially geared to teaching the fundamentals of the Christian faith to children aged 4‑8 years. The children are led in worship and Bible study on a level appropriate for them.

Each summer we usually develop programs to reach the unchurched children and families of our community. This was an an opportunity to present the gospel to children in a fun and relaxed format. Along with instruction time, the children participate in crafts, music, games, and fun outings to area attractions.

An important component of any adult or children's ministry is a well‑run nursery. We have a staffed nursery available during the Sunday morning worship service and also during select special events. The nursery is available for infants and toddlers through 3 years of age.

Youth

Today's teens are facing more worldly pressures than ever. For this reason it is very important that the church provide an oasis for youth where they are encouraged to fellowship together and receive good biblical encouragement from adults.

We currently have a combined junior high and senior high youth group that meets weekly on Sunday evenings during the school year. Meetings include games, fellowship, and study times. Other events are planned throughout the year. All youth in grades 7‑12 are invited to come.

Crossroads Christian Fellowship faithfully supports sending its children and youth to church‑sponsored summer camp programs. It is essential for children to be able to get away and have fun in a camping environment with their peers. See the church office for more information on how to participate in this program.
