The Dynamics of Grace: Presenting Ourselves to God (and not to Sin)

We are told in Scripture to not "present" ourselves to Sin to be brought back under its lordship but to "present" ourselves to God.  It also says that to whomever we present ourselves that act becomes transforming...either for good or bad.  This is an important daily reality for Christians...but "thanks be to God" that we are under the "reign of Grace"!!

Romans 12:1
Ephesians 5:3
Romans 6:11-23

Sermon Discussion Questions:

  • What are the 4 Commands in this passage (hints: Reckon, Don't Let,  Don't Present, Present...you fill in the details)?

  • What does it mean "to present"?

  • Why is "presenting" transformative?

  • Who is your master that you are presenting yourself to?
